Paint

The body was ready for painting.

Primer first then a coat of silver so that when the green was rubbed back it would have the appearance of aluminium panels showing through.

I also made a new Hi-Lift jack for it.

Next was rubbing back some of the typical wear areas such as wings and inside floors to show the silver. Rust was also added to the bulkhead and tailpipe. Then the whole lot covered in a couple of coats of flat lacquer.

All of this was done in about 4-5 weeks. Then hardly anything was done on it for about 2 1/2 months until the transmission was fitted and a driver was found.
